MEDNIGHT - La Notte Mediterranea delle Ricercatrici

On 26 September 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to midnight, the MEDNIGHT – Mediterranean Researchers' Night took place at the Rectorate of the University of Messina, bringing together science, innovation and the sharing of knowledge.

The event provided an important opportunity for researchers, members of the public and younger generations to meet and engage, promoting cultural exchange and highlighting the role of scientific research in society and everyday life. Particular attention was given to the contribution of women in research and to their essential role in driving scientific and technological progress.

MEDNIGHT aims to bring the public closer to the world of research by creating spaces for dialogue and participation, where adults and children can meet researchers, discover new projects, exchange ideas and explore the opportunities offered by innovation.

The Messina Energy Boat team also took part in the event with a dedicated stand, presenting its project and activities in the field of sustainable mobility. The team introduced the public to its vision of boating based on the principles of **green, lightweight and smart** design, through the development of innovative solutions focused on energy efficiency, reduced environmental impact and the intelligent use of technology.

Participation in MEDNIGHT provided an important opportunity to share the Messina Energy Boat project with the public and to demonstrate how research, innovation and sustainability can make a tangible contribution to the mobility of the future.
